24-hour turning lane closures on Kapule Highway in both directions at the Kaana Street intersection on Friday, March 16, through Friday, March 23, for concrete pavement repair. The left turns onto or from Kaana Street heading north on Kapule Highway will not be allowed during the lane restriction.</description><a10:updated>2018-03-15T16:45:00-10:00</a10:updated></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">ItemID4422</guid><link>http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/memberpage.aspx?member=kouchi</link><title>HDOT News Release: Turning Lane Restriction at the Kauai Veterans Memorial Highway and Kaana Street Intersection Begins On Monday, March 12</title><description>LIHUE – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises Kauai motorists of a turning lane restriction at the intersection of Kauai Veterans Memorial Highway and Kaana Street in Lihue beginning on Monday, March 12, 2018, through Friday, March 23, 2018, 24-hours a day, for concrete pavement repair.
&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
The left turns onto or from Kaana Street heading north on Kauai Veterans Memorial Highway will not be allowed during the lane restriction. 
&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
The through lanes at the Kauai Veterans Memorial Highway and Kaana Street intersection and the right-hand turn from Kaana Street onto the highway and makai of the highway will remain open to traffic. 
&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Motorists are advised to use the Vidinha Stadium Access Road as an alternate route.
&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
The speed limit through the construction zone will be reduced to 25 miles per hour from Rice Street to Ahukini Road for the safety of the workers and to allow the concrete to set properly.
